Two local men recently were named co-chairs of the 21st annual Night to Remember concert and fundraiser to be held April 18. Dr. Jim Scales, Hamilton County Schools Superintendent, and Chip Baker, Executive Director of Friends of the Festival, will co-chair one of the largest annual galas held in Chattanooga.

“We are honored that these two extraordinary gentlemen will chair what has become an extraordinary evening, but also one of the most extraordinary educational fundraisers that benefits Chattanoogans from all backgrounds,” said Irvin Overton, Night to Remember chairman of the board. “While the concert and event of A Night to Remember draws in music fans from far and wide, it raises funds that literally change lives by developing cultural and educational programs, creating mentoring opportunities and providing college scholarships for inner-city youth.”

We support the efforts of A Night to Remember because:

A Night to Remember is a proven success.  Year after year for the past twenty years, citizens of this community and this area’s corporate community have walked the walk in support of its annual concerts.  As a result, A Night to Remember has contributed over $4 million to programs for the youth in our community.

"Joyce and I support A Night to Remember Charity Concert because it serves the youth of our community by providing financial support to organizations that meet some of their needs. For twenty years funding provided by the concert has assisted organizations in providing cultural experiences, educational and scholarship opportunities and mentoring that have positively impacted the lives of our youth. Through this charitable event and the communities support benefiting organizations such as Girls Club Inc., 100 Black Men Inc., and the Chattanooga African American History Museum are able to expand their services to help inner-city children reach their potential   Also, the concert has provided through a night of entertainment an opportunity for social interaction and fellowship for our community for people of all races, socio-economic status and beliefs. We thank you for helping and considering helping meet the needs of our children in the community."
